A tribute to a very special urban place in Malaga Spain, the “Chinitas Passageway” meant a lot to Spain’s music history. Celebrations, festivals and daily commercial activity made the passage magical and inspirational.
Through the passage access arch was the "Café de Chinitas", a small and popular theater-cafe that became the cradle of amazing artists. In some occasions it operated as a brothel, and its various scandals and knife fights led to the closure of this emblematic place. Poets, musicians, dancers and painters were inspired to create masterpieces that we still enjoy today.
The festival will feature over 60 performers ranging from ages 4 and up with special performances by Baila Flamenco dance Company.
We are so excited to announce that during the festival, the professional Company will feature 3 world premier Choreographies supporting the theme of the Festival.
